in april of this year, a friend and i started a mini quilt swap group. it is doing really great, and every month i look forward to seeing all the lovelies everyone comes up with. this past month i was partnered with malka
and she sent me this lush beauty....
i cant say enough about it, the fabrics are so kewl, and she made a number of them! i just love the IDEA of making my own fabrics. i dont think it would ever happen, but its nice to dream, right? thanks so much malka, i will treasure it. she also sent me some charm squares of her fabrics. i cant wait to use them.
this is a bag i finished tonight for the midwest fiber & folk fair that is being held in a nearby city.we were given a pic of the pattern and told to do our own thing. this is what i came up with. its a little hard to tell in this pic, but it gets smaller toward the top. i started making it after i got malka's little quilt, and it inspired my color choices. i couldnt find the pic when i was making it so that is why there is only one button strap. i would have done two if i remembered the picture correctly!
