I am so sorry to hear your mom has dementia! It is a horrible disease. I hope the new home works out well, both for your mom, and for you and your sisters and brother taking care of her!

Christie

I'm sorry to hear about your mum, I remember my mum & her sisters going through a similar situation with my garndma & it was hard. I hope having her so close to your sister will put your mind at ease.

Jill

Take care of you for a few days! We can wait for the partners. You had a hard weekend so I think you need to do something special just for yourself today. Sending positive thoughts your way!

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. My mother-in-law has Alzheimer's and as a result is often depressed and crying and confused as well. It's SO hard on the family. Take care of yourself and your family! This is a tough time, but you will get through it.

I was glad to see a post from you (I'd been watching for strawberry swap partners and wondering if you were ok), but am so very sorry to hear about your mom. I'll keep you guys in my prayers.

I feel your pain! My mom had a stroke in '97 and after that she started having dementia problems as well. It was so hard to move her to an adult family home and then a nursing home but there wasn't another option.

Be strong but when that fails, find someone to talk to and cry with, and your strength will return at least for a while!

My Grandmother had Alzheimer's and used to make breakfast all day long until she finally went to live in a home. It is very sad. My Dad has senile dementia and is very mean and it really hurts- even though I know he doesn't mean what he says. It is very difficult.
I wish you strength in dealing with that. Its more important than the swap- even though that will give you some joy when you're done.
Love you, sistah.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom and what that entails. My mother is going down that path too and it is difficult to witness.
Thoughts are with you.

Hi, I found you from your comment on Oodles and Oodles.....I'm sorry what your mom is going through....I'm in the same situation with my mom. She's been in assisted living for a year and doing pretty well. Stop over for a visit when you can!
